Sad part about this whole thing (besides the victims of course) is that it will fade from the spotlight as soon as some other sensationalist media hype bullshit comes up. Then 2-3 years(and 10's of thousand in legal fees) down the road there will be a little blurb on page 10 saying how Jerry the perv got 6 months probation and a fine.
As for shooting the creep...that would be okay. I'd rather see him coordinate defense at(state)pen, let's see how long his tight end lasts in that game. |

If human life is invaluable why should we even be concerned that a 10 year old was sodomized by some creepy perv coaching at Penn State? If life itself is invaluable then by extension, so are all the experiences and things contained therein, including protecting the innocence of a child.
All I'm saying is that if callously murdering someone isn't tragic, then neither is a 10 year old boy being sodomized. Don't get me wrong ... I wouldn't weep for this man if he were murdered, but I'd certainly still pay tribute to it as a life lost. |

yes life is valuable, but i believe that you can do things that forfeit your right to you keeping your life. raping children would be one of those things.
using your car to swerve at me on the highway would be one of those things too (ala snowolf's story from last year) and if it were not for the law of the land i would shoot and kill someone for using their car to threaten my life, and i would drive on without care. i guess maybe i am a sociopath ![]() that make any sense to you?

Of course, but we have already decided as a society as to the means by which we determine when a loss of life is an appropriate punishment. Vigilantly murdering Sandusky is still considered a crime.
I say I don't believe it because I believe that you and Snowolf are both not sociopaths. No matter how heinous the crime is, I don't think many people have the ability to callously murder someone except in situations where someone's life or wellbeing is actively being compromised which is strictly the ability of our fight or flight response to actually perform that action. To say you can look a man in his eyes and murder him is a pretty intense claim. To actually do such a thing I think requires a pretty severe degree of psychopathy that I don't think either you or Snowolf possess since you both seem to be decent and moral human beings. However, prosecuting him under a law, finding him guilty and sentencing him to death and participating in said process is quite a bit different. So is defending your life against someone who is currently threatening you or someone else. |
