Yeah I don't know what the fuck McQueary was thinking by going to his supervisors before going to the police. I hate cops as much as the next guy but come on, these are kids getting raped and his first thought is "I gotta tell my boss"!?

Born and Raised about 40 minutes from University Park and Graduated PSU. I've lived in the shadow of the Blue and White Kingdom my entire life, but luckily avoided the Elixer. I've never been a Paterno or PSU football fan (and I'm a big fan of football!), but I'm totally mixed with this whole scene. i feel bad for those who are are watching their glory and God fall apart, but that is also what they get for being so awe-stricken by PSU. The Nittany Lion fans are a cultish group, very very much! Moreso than any other sports organization I know.
Questions: 1. Did Joe need to go after these allegations? Yes, but I really wonder what transpired? Did they give him a quit or be canned ultimatum? Sure sounds like it. Getting fired over the phone sounds a little unprofessional considering his history, (yes, not as harsh as what happened to the kids, I know.) 2. How long has the Grand Jury been sitting on the Report? The timing is impecable.....on a bye week right after he becomes the winningest coach ever? 3. Why didn't McQueary get canned? and more importantly!!!! 4. Why didn't McQueary rescue the kid at the imediate moment he saw what was happening?!?!?

this is some sick shit.
every single person who knew about this should not only be fired - they should face criminal charges IMO. if i had a 10 year old kid, and said kid got raped in the showers by the perv, and someone saw it - you report that shit to the police, not the fucking coach - or you could do what i would do and cave the motherfucker's skull in right then and there. fucking stupid coach who everyone puts on a unrealistic pedestal knows about it and reports it to the school but not the cops? fire him at the very least. fuck him - put him in jail. if people can go to jail for drugs or hitting someone then anyone who is complicit in a fucking RAPE should be in jail too. fuck Joe Pa. fuck the Penn State pres. fuck it - fire the whole board of directors - i'm sure they knew all about it. if i was the father of one of these kids i would literally hunt these fucks down and make them bleed. any Penn State student that would riot over this shit is an ignorant, entitled, clueless retard. Joe Pa was complicit to rape you fucking morons. he is not a fucking victim - he is a perpetrator.

I also think he should get canned. Probably will at the end of the season, but the Uni would be better off to just unceremoniously wash their hands of him now. Quote:
It's just hard to say what anyone would've done in the heat of the moment. Psychologically, maybe your brain shuts it out. Maybe you get physically ill. A lot of variables might prevent you from responding the way you say you'd respond in a vacuum. IMO it is not fair to hold people to a standard of justice based on what we say we would've done. Rather, we have to look at it from the perspective of what should he have done, and/or should/could he have done more than he did. And essentially he did NOTHING. He could have and should have done more. But he didn't and his inaction is really inexcusable.
