My head just exploded!
My wife recorded a short segment of "It's a New Day" because she knew I'd get a kick out of what they were saying. For those who don't know, the program is a christian talk show.
So, here's the quote: "We've been told that DNA is static. It's not. Your DNA changes constantly through your life, based on your beliefs." Even now, bits of skull and brain are splattered on my monitor  And these people want us to put their version of the origin of life in science class. Oy. |

Not trying to stir up shit here but DNA does change through life and is very far from static.
Thats pure science, I learnt that at uni doing biological sciences. There is however no evidence that beliefs have anything to do with it. Its more environmental cues and diet as well as mistakes when replicating. |

I pretty much knew what you were saying, just couldn't help it.;)
Interestingly Bacteria do actually swap segments of their DNA with other Bacteria. They do have a fully actively changing genome though their short lives. One of the reasons why resistance to antibiotics spreads so fast. |
