How Obama Thinks - Forbes.com

Following is an excerpt from How Obama Thinks by Dinesh D'Souza. The article first appeared in the September 27th 2010 edition of Forbes magazine; it is the basis for the 2012 documentary film, currently in theaters, entitled 2016: Obama's America. Whether you consider yourself a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or are undecided about where you stand on political issues, it's worth a read.

"In an eerie conclusion, Obama writes that "I sat at my father's grave and spoke to him through Africa's red soil." In a sense, through the earth itself, he communes with his father and receives his father's spirit. Obama takes on his father's struggle, not by recovering his body but by embracing his cause. He decides that where Obama Sr. failed, he will succeed. Obama Sr.'s hatred of the colonial system becomes Obama Jr.'s hatred; his botched attempt to set the world right defines his son's objective. Through a kind of sacramental rite at the family tomb, the father's struggle becomes the son's birthright.

Colonialism today is a dead issue. No one cares about it except the man in the White House. He is the last anticolonial. Emerging market economies such as China, India, Chile and Indonesia have solved the problem of backwardness; they are exploiting their labor advantage and growing much faster than the U.S. If America is going to remain on top, we have to compete in an increasingly tough environment.

But instead of readying us for the challenge, our President is trapped in his father's time machine. Incredibly, the U.S. is being ruled according to the dreams of a Luo tribesman of the 1950s. This philandering, inebriated African socialist, who raged against the world for denying him the realization of his anticolonial ambitions, is now setting the nation's agenda through the reincarnation of his dreams in his son. The son makes it happen, but he candidly admits he is only living out his father's dream. The invisible father provides the inspiration, and the son dutifully gets the job done. America today is governed by a ghost."

Republicans. It's a small nit, but Republicans aren't conservatives. It is possible to be a conservative and still be a sane human being.

As for this latest trolling effort, its just more of this insane babble coming from the lunatic fringe that has encompassed pretty much all of conservatism. By today`s standards, Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan would be called "flaming liberals" and John Kennedy a Communist (if he were black) by the conservatives.

I don't think ANYONE involved in politics in any shape or form is sane anymore. Liberals have gone looney liberal, just as conservatives have gone completely insane. The way I see it, if you want to gain attention in today's political scene you have to be so far out there, otherwise no one pays any attention to you.

What scares me the most is all the brainwashed fucktards that go along with all this crap. I vote impeachment 2012, get rid of all of them, then a mass audit IRS style where an independent accounting firm crawls up the feds ass with a fine tooth comb, no national security BS, and find out EXACTLY where the hell all OUR money is going. If a business was run the way our Gov't is run it not only would've been audited long ago, but be completely out of business period! So keep on keepin on, chase your tails from left to right, don't look too close.

To put it plainly: the government can decide where and when free speech is allowed and severely prosecute any "disruptive" activity, while we're confined to "free speech zones." We can help fix it, however!
