However you are saying "science didn't create or do anything" I'm asking why you appear to think it (or any other explanation for that matter)needs to? I would hasten to add, that's a genuine question. (Sorry if I'm coming across otherwise) Last edited by Slush Puppie; 10-04-2012 at 03:50 PM. |

i guess the bottom line, for ME - is that we all have questions about the universe and our place in it, questions about the origin of man and why humans are the way we are and how we can do the things that we can do... we all have these thoughts and these questions, and for me when i don't have the answers to them it is not natural for my mind to look to a god as the answer. its not the logical conclusion i come to. for some people apparently it is. i think alot of people are wrong about alot of things and this is one of them
and they think i am wrong

I am with the non-theists 100% though in agreeing that religion is a bad thing though. It should not dictate political policy, school teachings, etc. It's place should be in the home among families. It should not be starting wars, oppressing people for differing views, etc. Living in the Bible belt is rough, because so many of these people want to ignorantly push their beliefs on everyone else in forceful ways. Not my thing. thanks for the video by the way, finally got to watch it. Pretty interesting stuff. Kind of mind blowing that the fusion of just two chromosomes can change the outcome of a species to that degree. |

If you think God has a hand in our day to day activities then I don't agree. |

This is AFAIK the fourth major falsifiable prediction that evolutionists have made since Darwin, and every one was successful. The other three are: - DNA - Continental drift - Nuclear fusion. DNA is obvious, but yes evolutionists predicted the other two well before they were verified, because they were a necessary consequence of evolution -- otherwise evolution would be in big trouble.

I am not a bible thumper. Most of my friends are athiest and I don't try to convert them. But I can tell you that I have experienced God's love and grace way to many times to deny his existence. The interesting part is that I didn't believe until some horrible things happened to me, not good things. Furthermore, the bible is a fantastic book. Its not to be taken literal. But the stories and lessons to be learned are just to excellent to deny the existence of a higher power, namely J.C. And yes. I will pray for snow....lol
And.......if in the end, its all just a fairytale, I am ok with that. It has been a good ride. |
