or, that the Bible's creation story happening in literally one weeks' time isn't accurate.

There is nothing in the Bible to indicate that the span of a day used to create the earth was literally 7 24-hour periods. Each "day" could have represented a 1 billions year time-span for all we know.

The rub comes from the following verse: 2nd Peter 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Christians like to take that verse literal when it was meant to be nothing more than poetic embellishment making a statement essentially meaning that God is outside of time and space. That doesn't actually mean that God's calendar is built off of thousand year days. Besides, Siri on His iPhone would get really jacked up if that were the case.

unless the big guy had the world on long play its pretty safe to assume the earth still spins at the same rate it did back in the day.

I believe that God created dinosaurs at the same time as humans. I also believe they lived with man, although they werent called dinosaurs untill recently. Dinosaur is a relativity new word, but what has been used to describe dinosaurs is the word dragon. And actually if you read in the book of Job you can see an example of one.
Job 41:12-34
"“I will not fail to speak of Leviathan’s limbs,
its strength and its graceful form.
13 Who can strip off its outer coat?
Who can penetrate its double coat of armor[b]?
14 Who dares open the doors of its mouth,
ringed about with fearsome teeth?
15 Its back has[c] rows of shields
tightly sealed together;
16 each is so close to the next
that no air can pass between.
17 They are joined fast to one another;
they cling together and cannot be parted.
18 Its snorting throws out flashes of light;
its eyes are like the rays of dawn.
19 Flames stream from its mouth;
sparks of fire shoot out.
20 Smoke pours from its nostrils
as from a boiling pot over burning reeds.
21 Its breath sets coals ablaze,
and flames dart from its mouth.
22 Strength resides in its neck;
dismay goes before it.
23 The folds of its flesh are tightly joined;
they are firm and immovable.
24 Its chest is hard as rock,
hard as a lower millstone.
25 When it rises up, the mighty are terrified;
they retreat before its thrashing.
26 The sword that reaches it has no effect,
nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin.
27 Iron it treats like straw
and bronze like rotten wood.
28 Arrows do not make it flee;
slingstones are like chaff to it.
29 A club seems to it but a piece of straw;
it laughs at the rattling of the lance.
30 Its undersides are jagged potsherds,
leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge.
31 It makes the depths churn like a boiling caldron
and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment.
32 It leaves a glistening wake behind it;
one would think the deep had white hair.
33 Nothing on earth is its equal—
a creature without fear.
34 It looks down on all that are haughty;
it is king over all that are proud.”

Sounds a little more like a dragon right?
And this would also explain the cave drawing we have of dragons.

And if they were killing humans we can imaging why they would be extinct by now.

Dinosaurs and the Bible - Answers in Genesis And theres a little more reading if you can stomach it. LOL
So you do not believe in the science of carbon dating then? Is it because of what the science proved, or is it because there is a specific measurable portion of the science which you believe isnt correct? How do you choose which science you do and dont believe in? Do you choose purely based on if the result contradicts the bible?

Personally i believe if Dinosaurs existed with man 2000 years ago Jesus would have been eaten by a Philosoraptor and not die on a cross..

Moron....Do you believe in fucking santa Claus? You're an atheist too. It's not my problem to dispute something you created in your imagination...it's your trip and your problem only. Don't try to make me responsible for it... and stop that tone of contempt standing over your bible judging reality trough the distorted glasses of dogma...the best invention to control people through fear.

Atheism is not belief without proof, but rather belief with proof. True atheists are the MOST open mind people in the world when it comes to religion actually. We are willing and open to believe in any higher power as long as it presents itself in a measurable way.

On a side note, unlike the top religions in the world we wouldn't dare condemn or kill someone in the name of one belief over another. Thats primitive, unfair, and downright "un godly".

I believe there is no one higher power in the world then myself, unless one presents itself. Basically in my life...im god

Since we are quoting Bible text I also have a few questions.

Quote:
Genesis 2: 20
The man gave names to all the cattle, to the birds of the air and to every wild animal
How did the "man" how he came up with the name Parastratiosphecomyia stratiosphecomyioides. Pretty long one for a fly.

no, your mis-interpreting what I'm saying.

What the bible says occurred in one day, possibly occurred over the course of several million/billion years. I believe that through evolution over millions of years, God created the multitudes of life on earth. Humans trying to convey this around a campfire before it was written down in the book of Genesis equated all those millions of years as one a day.
