Not really. The polar caps are almost certainly CO2. That's why they completely disappear in summer, despite temps that we'd consider subarctic.

We think there may still be subsurface water. We certainly hope so. But "know" is too strong a word.

Science is about testing assumptions. Everything is provisional and assumed to be true only to the extent that observation and experiment supports it. Religion is about assumptions and declaring them to be true then burning anyone who questions.

That's actually not true. Everything we "know" about the "known" Universe are based on a set of assumptions. Regardless people fighting over Religion and Science is ignorance to me. pure ignorance. Not calling anyone ignorant here, just staying my honest point of view.

Basically anyone can say anything and declare it as truth. It all depends on how much time, resources and money the other person is willing to spend to find out if that declaration is indeed true.

Yeah I'm the epitome of an Indigo. Your point is true, but from the fact that reality is what you make of it. How one experiences reality is just as real as how you and I or anyone else for that matter, experience reality. There is no one truth.
