so do you believe in god but not the bible? if you believe in the bible then how do you reconcile the timeline discrepancies?

Big Bang is not a theory...is what we see galaxies do if we reverse their current (expanding) pattern. They all go back to a singular point.

Then you aren't a creationist. A creationist believes that everything in the bible is literal. Creationists also deny evolution. You're a Christian

I heard a recently reformed atheist calling himself a POSSIBILLIONIST.

The answer to the things we don't know could be anything from: nothing, Jesus, alien ant farms, maybe our universe only existed for 1 second in some other universe!

As long as we ignore what little data we have, and choose to hate each other based on mythology and stereotyping, no amount of technology or education can protect us from our own self-destruction.

You mean the bit about earth being 6000 years old or something?

No way.

I think the problem is that people aren't looking into the original meanings of the words that were translated.

I believe that there were millions of years between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2.
