Our local news station had a little poll this morning. So far 61% want Romney to win...

Perhaps because of his comments about approving the keystone pipeline on day one? Not that I in any way trust online polls to be even remotely accurate.

No no, it's okay. We'll keep our oil. You can buy from the Saudi's and we'll export to china. If BC doesn't want to allow a pipeline through either we'll just pave over BC.

I don't put much stock in ANY polls! Did you see the poll results prior to the last alberta election? They had the wildrose neck in neck with the PCs, and the PCs came away with a strong majority.

What's that partner?

I love it here... Wide open spaces, tons of outdoor things to do, people are comfortable with guns, we have (arguably) the best steak in the world, and it's a province full of conservatives!

You don't hafta convince me. I love Alberta! Hot chicks too, I even married one.

I even have a flickr tag for my Alberta stuff.

Can't wait to go back to ride Banff in a few months.

If I only have two days, do you suggest Lake Louise? Wife doesn't care for Sunshine, she says it's kinda blah.

Fantastic pics! When you're back there's a nice little provincial park north west of Calgary that would make a nice little winter hike. I haven't been there in the winter to see if the water's still flowing, but it's spring fed so I don't see how it'd stop. It's called Big Hill Springs provincial park.

Anyway, I'm not that fond of sunshine either. There's a few people on here that rave about it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. Too many flat areas, not nearly enough trees for my liking.

We've got Lake Louise on our season pass this year, it's one of my faves. Although if you can swing it I'd go to Fernie for a couple days instead. It's 3 hours from Calgary (maybe 3:15 from the airport) but as long as it's not raining the snow is fantastic and there's TONS of off-piste terrain.

The hills are opening in a month. Can't wait!!!

Ontario drivers are the worst and this is coming from a guy that has no problem with Detroit rush hour traffic.

The biggest thing is the guy does what he said he would do. Long gun registry? Gone. Taxes? Lowered. Tough on crime bill? Passed.

I don't agree with the federal conservatives on everything. My biggest issue is their stance on drugs. I'm for a support/rehabilitate/educate style system instead of a mandatory minimum sentence system. However this issue is small enough to me versus the other larger issues which I agree on.

I lived in the GTA for 30 years. When you get within 40 km of Toronto WATCH OUT! A very large ESL population, new immigrants, young drivers with money, old people that shouldn't be on the road, a %&^* you attitude...
