not sure how the poll #s look in CO. probably not enough $$ behind it in OR for it to pass, but it looks right now like WA will go ahead and pass a bill to legalize for recreational use...
thoughts?

It doesn't bother me either way, but seems like a good way to fund some of the social service programs that have been cut the last few years. That, r maybe they can use the revenue to cover the bridge an tunnel projects so
I don't have to pay tolls. |

I'd be less focused on potential tax revenue and more on money saved through decriminalization. How much money does this country waste fighting "The War On Drugs"?

unfortunately the prison-legal-industrial-complex is exactly the reason that cannabis has remained illegal this long. the courts make $, the prisons make $, the lawyers make $, prison guards get work, get to hire more cops, on and on it goes.

I have no problem with it being legal, I would just like it to be taxed at a rate equal to smokes. I would then like to see all the tax funds set aside for rehab etc... so I dont have to pay for it with my tax dollars.
