i dont know about co but in wa u can get a dui for having thc in ur system. dosn't it stay in for a couple of days. so if i smoke today i can still get fucked two days from now is they have reason to test me.

ya thats what alot of people didn't read. but they must have a reason just like giving u a dui test. if ur car smells they can get u to give them a blood or idk how they can test it in other ways. this is something that alot of people missed just beacasue they didnt even read the law.

Regarding the new DUID laws that will come into effect, the important thing to remember is to not give the popo any reason to pull you over in the first place. But if you do give them one, make damn sure that you don't give them any reason to suspect you of driving under the influence. In other words, if you and your car don't stink to high heaven, you don't drive like an asshole on the regular, and do proper vehicle inspections regularly, then you're probably gonna be just fine. however, if you don't know that you have a tail light out, and you're blazing it up as you drive, or even have some super stanky on you, then you might just be fucked. And yes, it's a blood test that they will perform in the field, and yes, it can fuck you, even if you haven't smoked in days or possibly even weeks. Don't let the new DUID laws stop you from having a good time, just be responsible about it. Kinda like alcohol.

Exactly. I had a job where I drove about 35k miles per year for the last 4 years. I was pulled over exactly twice in those 4 years. I haven't gotten a ticket since I was about 20 years old.

I used to get pulled a shit ton in HS and early on in college, but it was because I was a fucking maniac in those days.

ya iv been pulled over 2 time in 6 years for speeding. from a website.

■Never drive with a cannabis-friendly bumper sticker
■Do a quick inspection of your vehicle, making sure there are no obvious problems, like broken taillights.
■Make sure that you do not smell like cannabis when you leave the home – use deodorant, perfume, etc., even if you haven’t smoked in hours. The slightest scent could give the officer reason to test your blood, and to assume you’ll be above the 5, or 0ng/ml limits.
■Be cautious when driving with any amount of cannabis on your person, even if it’s under an ounce. Possessing even a gram is enough probable cause for an officer to search you, and test your blood.
■Understand that even if you consumed cannabis days ago, you may not be safe, and should take these precautions. Active THC lingers in the body for days, and we have no home test for individuals to determine if they’re below 5ng/ml before they drive.

I don't care if people smoke marijuana I've been around it since high school. Personally I don't care for it though. I have been around it and seen the negative side of the drug. My roomate from college has been fired from 2-3 jobs because of going to work high constantly and when we were in college he use to miss work regularly to sit at home and get baked. I guarantee with the passing of this legislation there WILL be plenty of people either missing work or going in high tomorrow. As I said I don't care if people smoke it's just not my perogative, as far as I'm concerned if alcohol is legal then so can marijuana. My problem lies with people who claim they can work and drive just as well high than they can sober. That is bull shit and I have ridden and been around enough high people to have 100% full confadance in stating that. It impairs your judgement and coordination. I don't want to ride in a car with or work around machienes with someone who is high yet people find it acceptable.

Anyways no need to start a big debate here have fun with the new law.
