i agree it is going to be a another painful 4 years. You forgot about the 4 years of gas prices going higher and higher. 4 years ago the price of gas was $1 and change. Now it is $4 and change almost $5

the only reason it dropped below $2 in 2008 was because the economy collapsed.

Oh you already forgot 8 years of corporate wars and historic bullshit? Gas is still basically free here in US, compared to the rest of the world where is more $ 11 a gallon. And no one can afford a 3 ton car, or wants one for that matter.

Yeah, lets keep gas prices low so we can keep driving our fat fucking asses in our Hummers 2 blocks to McDonalds and back while petroleum becomes more and more scarce. We WILL see a collapse in petroleum systems infrastructure at our current rate of usage in THIS century.
