If someone steals your car and crashes, should the car owner be liable also? Should we hold brewers or car manufactures responsible for drunk drivers? What about knife manufacturers? What if you gave me a ride to my bank, then I robbed bank without your knowledge, what percentage of the blame should we lay on you? Maybe even hold the GPS company liable for helping get us there. Here's a crazy idea, lets stop trying to cast blame on all sorts of people, other than the actual person committing the crime. Lets not blame the inanimate object, lets blame the person committing the crime. Lets not restrict or make criminals of 99% of people or companies who did nothing wrong. Why do people insist on treating guns differently than everything else? Some will say because guns are lethal, but when I point out that cars actually are more lethal, that fact gets dismissed. Are you calling for more restrictions on cars and knives also? If not, why? |

Isn't 8000 homicides a year? National and Pennsylvania Car Accident Statistics 2010, 2011 Looking at 2010. 10,228 dead from drunk drivers vs 8000 homicides. We should have more restrictions on cars! Hell, if you want to compare all gun deaths (which includes the deaths of bad guys by the way) vs all car deaths, car deaths are still higher. So.. that point you were trying to make? Nope, didn't work. Quote:
haha ok. You should have done a better job presenting your "case". Here's some advice, if you ever end up in legal trouble, do NOT represent yourself. Last edited by tdn; 12-12-2012 at 08:12 PM. |

Not on cars! On alcohol!! Cars have other very valuable uses, I don't think I need to point them out right?! Again, what other uses have guns other than to kill??? |

[QUOTE=tdn;551432]I'm sorry man, but your logic is incredibly weak.
Trying to compare someone misusing a car to the misuse of a firearm is silly. One is rather unneeded...Like I said I wouldve loved for all of them to have had knives in that situation. I wouldve loved to have the option of defending myself or running vs the only option I had, since a firearm was involved. |
