Found it to be pretty odd, never really used to lock down threads. Maybe Donutz went on a drunken power trip :laugh:

They should just open up a thread and let you people go nuts in it and as long as the vitriol and nonsense stays in that one thread then there will be no bannination.

It'd be a place for people that need to blow off steam. Kinda like fighting in the NHL.

this is a snowboarding forum. They used to let the political threads run wild and it became an ugly place rapidly.

Locking down threads is not anything new. If you think we "didn't used to do it", you're engaging in selective memory. And I locked the threads down because it had become just a bunch of name-calling. That's not political debate (actually, maybe it is).

The level of vitriol in those threads had hit a new high for juvenile behaviour. And the first person who says anything like "yeah, because of [insert name here]" gets 30 days off to think about it.

We're going to be discussing this whole issue in the staff lounge.

Snowolf did the smart thing and backed off when it became obvious that you were totally out of control. The only person who came out of all of this looking like a fool is you, and you did that entirely yourself, and you seem to be determined to keep at it. This is no longer a political debate. Donutz i am not trying to start something here i respect what you and the other admins do for this site but he does have a point, just as im sure the other side does aswell
