it is worth noting however, that russia is currently making its way south thru Georgia, which leaves it with only its close friends Armenia to cross before it too arrives at Iran's borders.

what with recent US aspirations of missile silos being installed into eastern europe, do you suppose that this interntional game of chess has very real and tangible ramifications?

or are we all too engrossed in Olympic endeavour to notice such signs of forewarning?

you believe that the current global hegemon, america, enjoys a shared view of russia with china? you must be joking.

china and russia are rivals, but both are looking to exercise their industrial mights and growing prosperities to enforce a change in this world, whereby international controls are wrested from american hands.

as such, any move by the USA to capitalise on the vast resources of iran and to set up camp right on russia's border will never be tolerated.

i fear that what you see as a 'positive note' is quite the opposite old chap!

“Some don’t like such strategic cooperation between our countries, but we understand that this cooperation serves the interests of our people, and we will strengthen it, regardless of whether others like it or not,” Medvedev said.

well either things are set to 'go off' with much momentum.... or there is DC hope that any mid-eastern tension might simmer with menaces, rather than explode with war;

i give it a day before russia starts claiming spy activities.

and of course much can be gained from inspecting the scars left on a battle field..... humanitarian my arse! this is a fact finding mission and nothing more!
