forgive me for saying as much..... but it undermines credability when quotes are provided, which still labour the misinformation that Iran is governed by a dictator.

the point that Iran and the AK secessionist movement share a common enemy in the form of the US gov and thus are both contrary (in theory) to anyone looking to vice-presidency, can be made without such mistruths can it not?

i never really liked the efforts to compare the experiences of a presidential candidate to those of a vice-presidential one. different jobs and thus not directly comparable.

feel free to compare Palin to Biden or McCain to Obama; but again credability is brought into question by entertaining such irrelevent selections. surely your arguement is strong enuff without such detours of logic?

Palin throws stones at Obama for his association with Bill Ayers yet we are not supposed to question her associations with Iranian backed secessionist groups who advocate violence upon American interests to achieve their goals? Again, these are facts and are documented and really are not subject to debate.
feel free to question the mentality of someone who is supposedly looking to vice-preside over the UNITED states, even tho they have previously sought to divide them; but the name drop of 'Iran' to suggest guilt by association is a cheap trick.

(link re: advocation of violence would be appreciated)

Ahh. Here is the reason why I stopped contributing here.

"I have always strenuously supported the right of every man to his own opinion, however different that opinion might be to mine. He who denies another this right makes a slave of himself to his present opinion, because he precludes himself the right of changing it."

I've always been open to changing my mind on anything given a proper argument. I won't make myself a slave to an opinion or a belief simply because I refuse to have my mind changed by someone else. Too many people here so blindly follow their own belief that no argument no matter how superior is acceptable to them.

I have a word limit on my cynicism

i like to contribute in here. primariy because i know there are reasonably like minded people in here, who have access to a diverse and distinct aray of info than i do.

i do not believe people are beyond changing their minds. i know if given the chance, who i would vote for. but this does nothing to prevent me from some devils advocacy for 'the other guy'.

most of my info aboot the elections for example comes from in here. snowboarders can make for an excellent 'crapolla filter' for another snowboarder. most thanks for this go to snowolf. for sure he has a deep seated bias in what he writes (and there is nowt wrong with that), but knowing this beforehand ensures that such bias can be accounted for and the posts remain informative.

Anyone worrying about Obama's tax plan increasing their taxes is fortunate. That would mean you have a damn good income and probably aren't worried about making your mortgage payment on your one and only home. Or you're probably not worried about getting food on the table, or gas in the tank. Or worried that you won't have a job tomorrow.

Any average American income earner that believes McCain is the answer should really, REALLY do some reading and research. Not just on current issues, but what's happened in the past 15 years.
