OMG. I LOVE this stuff coming out today.
The GOP spent 150K so she could go shopping, and she expensed her kids travel cost to the Alaska tax payers, and then later "amended" the reports to make them appear "legit." Too funny.

I'm not for the McCain/Palin ticket but aren't they just using money which was donated to the Republican party? If that money comes straight up from donations to support the republicans then I see no problem with it.

Well, there are few problems with it the biggest being ethics and hypocracy. First, it is against the law for the McCain campaign to by Palin new clothes. However, a loophole in the law allows the RNC to do so. The issue there should be apparent. [cite is here]

Second, are double-standards. It's like Edwards, fighting for the poor, and getting a $400 hair cut at the same time. It's Palin, saying she relates to "real america," yet spending more on fashion than most people make in two years. It's claiming to not waste tax dollars, fight run-away govt spending, fight special-interest and corruption yet she fudges her expense reports (corrupt), and trots her kids around on non-official bid'ness and has the taxpayers pick up the tab rather than herself (sounds like special-interest, run-away govt spending, and a waste of tax dollars all rolled into one).

I wouldn't give a flying fek about the source of the monies...

to fork out 5 grand on make up and hair do's in a time of impending global recession, is to be so far out of touch with the electorate that it is retarded!

Oh it's OK guys, McCain said she'll be donating the clothes to charity after the election...because that's what the poor need, more high fashion and expensive suits.
