polls open in 5 hours here in VA. i was gonna try to hit it at right at 6 when they open & hopefully beat the mad rush. i don't know if that plan's gonna work for me though. this is my 1st time doing this...i imagine it's kinda like going to DMV, except it's only 1 day to choose from, lol.
i'm hoping that my lack of need to get ready will give me an advantage over all the other people who won't leave their house without a shower & getting made-up for the day. i'll roll out of bed, brush my teeth & jump in the car. i don't have to be at work until 8:30, so if i beat the line i might be able to go back to bed for a bit before work, lol.

so i'm guessing people get there before the polls open & start to form a line? maybe i should leave a bit before 6 then. like 5:30. ugh. maybe i should go to bed, lol.

to be fair, we elected al gore. bush cheated the system.

and i seriously cannot sleep right now. its 1, i have an exam at 8, and all i can think about is how i want it to be over so bad and if palin is hot when she cries about losing.

however, alot my country consists of racist rednecks who are voting for the white guy. tis a shame.

Dropped my ballot off at the collection booth along with my wife's. My neighborhood doesn't do the poll booths any more. Just mail in or drop off ballots. Nice to not have to deal with ridiculous lines.

painless! i got there 15 mins before the polls opened & like i figured, there was already a line in progress. i'm guessing by the amount of people & the rate that they were coming in, those people up front had probably been there since 5 o'clock (45 mins prior to me arriving). polls opened at 6:00, i got my "I voted!" sticker by 6:15! not bad at all! i could even go back to sleep for an hour before having to get up for work if i wanted. think i'll just go smoke a bowl instead...

oh, and thank god they give you a choice between the touch screen ballot & the old skool paper kind. give me paper...i like to color
