in a thread created by the wonderful Mr MPD..... he expressed a desire to see Obama realise the pledge of having sit down talks and cuppa teas with the globe's bad lads.

one ambition of such chit chat was to see the withdrawal of western troops from irak.

i took the chance to explain that the current agreement which allowed our occupation of their land was soon to end and thus wasn't open to Obama negotiation or policy. and in fact, such concerns were more within the control of the iraki government.

well blow me down if i ain't correct again! how tedious.

people might wish to dispute the credability of this news source. and why not? but we should soon find out whether what it says is true, and will then illustrate the effective authority Obama will inherit out in irak.

not so much campaign pledge, as what was due to happen anyways.....
