Default gulmarg india info 09/10

hey guys im planning a trip already to gulmarg india in january 2010. prolly stay for a 1.5 - 2 months then to japan for 1.5 months. any ways i am just looking at cheap backpackers or budget hotels. something less then 20$ a night, with hopefully internet. also there doesnt seem to be a lot of info of this place.

is gulmarg a busy place, ie, long waits going up the chair lift. also how much approx. does it cost for the chair lift. and how is the snow, (wet, dry, sticky)

i have seen one trail map of the mountain but doesnt give very good details on the trails, is there groomed runs or is it all powder,

i am currently looking at a blog that some one posted on here, any other info would be great thamks

Sorry to go off topic but that's the worst reason not to visit a country - do you not go to Canada because they club seals? I don't agree with whaling but don't hold it against an entire country gees. Hell, the US still has a small whaling program in Alaska.

Back OT, i was trying to find out about Gulmarg a few months back, I found sweet FA on the net... good luck
