Those are scary long lines at the Palmer lift.

Fixed that for you....

Meadows is great mid week and even when there is a line, it moves faster than the summer line on Palmer. Loading every other chair for the midway is what holds things up, not to mention the race camps.

What's up with this heat wave? The wife and I are moving and we're taking boxes up a flight of stairs in 102 degrees. And where's the rain? What was all that BS I heard about Oregon being so rainy you'll kill yourself within a year? Give me back my friggin winter!

We had a severe thunderstorm up here on the weekend.

Now it's back to 30C+.

I'm right there with you, Flick. I miss the rain (and the snow, but that's another story)!!!!!!

Oregonians are a bunch of pansies, I swear. Although they are rainy, winters are nice and mild. Summers are also mild (100+ degrees is pretty unusual) with overwhelmingly bright, sunny days. What the hell is there to complain about??!!

Anyway, you did a fantastic job picking a week to move.

I miss the rain but I love the heat. I love the Summers in the PNW. We get enough hot days to really enjoy the colder ones and rain in the winter usually means snow in the moutains. July is not a good time to move anytime in the US. Well moving usually sucks all together.

I picked up my daughter last Saturday at the end of her week at High Cascade camp then we spent Sunday morning riding at Timberline. Snowolf, thanks for the info you gave me before the trip, we had a great time.

My problem is that we don't have air conditioning in our place and it's unbearable. I had to pack up the dog and cat and go to our now-empty house just to stay cool. It doesn't have AC either, but it's shaded by some trees.

And this is the friggin snow shovel incident all over again. Since Oregon is completely unprepared for any adverse weather, there are no AC units available anywhere. We lined up at Target for an hour before opening to find out they only had 2 on the truck last night and some douchebags who ran past us and only got there 5 mins before opening got them.

I'm willing to bet Oregon doesn't have enough shotguns for a pending zombie invasion either. Typical.
