If the Premier F1-R is anything like the SL-R/Legacy-R it will kick ass.

Sounds truthful to me. There was some drizzle, some snow, and some sun. The riding was great. Super soft but heavy off the groomed. It sure wasn't a powder day but that doesn't mean the riding wasn't great.

One thing the web site just changed for the better, is what elevation they are posting the temperature reading from. It used to be from 6600', today I noticed it's from 5250' (lodge elevation).

You went up today?

I don't know maybe its because I am more poor than you guys, or because I am patient or maybe I am just getting to old (33) but I save my cash for good days and take trips to other mountains.

You have to go to Mt. Baker at least once, and if you haven't been to Bachelor you are missing out on the longest one lift tree runs I have ever done, you can not do it with out sitting down at least once. Cornice drops in the trees, Amazing.

Save the money from the "rainy days" and take a weekend trip, I promise you will thank me.
The best memories I have of snowboarding are always going to be trips from different Mts.
If you buy a seasons pass you are stuck at that mountain.

And riding is always "great", but so is sex, even with a butter face or a chubby girly.

Some people are divas and others are bout it. Everyone falls somewhere in that spectrum, so it is what it is.

Yep, left about 1:30.

Hard to be less poor than the Grizz, and you're still a young whippersnapper at 33.

I know what you're saying about saving the cash for the good days. It's one of the great things about having a pass, you go on the less than perfect days and sometimes you get really lucky. Late tomorrow afternoon might be one of those "lucky" times.

I guess you might feel like you are tied to one place, but you sure get in a lot more riding days without having to pay added travel expenses. How much is a pass anyway, like two trips worth of expenses? You can still travel when conditions look epic but you'll log in many more days per season with your close to home pass.

If a pass for $400+ seems like a lot, buy the $99 spring pass. You'll get the most fun for your $$$$.

We always hit Baker on the way to Whistler to break up the drive. Fun place, I'd like to watch the Banked Slalom some time.

Flatchelor isn't one of my PNW favorites. They can get good snow, but the terrain is a bit boring. The trees are OK but I hate the flat run outs back to the lift.

I'll counter with... save the money from a couple weekend trips to buy a pass. You'll thank me when you hit some unforecasted fresh pow, with an empty mountain, because people thought conditions would be too drizzly and not "great".

If you don’t work for a resort, a season pass is the only way to go. A Timberline/Ski Bowl Fusion pass is and/or was $450.00, you ride 9 or 10 time and you break even. Next thing you know your clocking 40+ days and still at $450.00 – travel expenses. Timberline 9am – 3pm then on to ski bowl till 10pm. Now that's a bang for your buck. Change it up with a lift ticket at Meadows, Bachelor, etc and you still way in the black.

Monday through Friday belong to my boss and wife(main boss). The weekends belong to the mountain.

Your absolutely right. You can make you average lift ticket cost $10 without trying to hard. Some weekend days here and there, add some night riding, a few vacation days and then those "mobile office" days and you can easily get those 40 days in. Most of the time I try to pick good days but sometimes that is not always possible or conditions change. I went up yesterday and while conditions were so-so, the day was throughly enjoyed. Perhaps I'm making up for lost time by going as much as I do. Heck I could have been good if I had started at 15.....oh thats right there was no snowboarding then. I've learned you take what the mountain gives you. Some days that is just the groom stuff, other days the park (yea the kids smirk what is that old guy doing here!), some days conditions are just crappy, and then the good days in the deeper stuff and tree runs. Whether you go a few days or a lot the whole point is to have fun.
