Default Any one been to Snowmass?

Going to Snowmass, CO in Jan and was wondering if anyone has been there and what they think about it from a boarder point of view. Also, how is the TParks?

I never here about Snowmass. Heard mainly on Breck, BC, Mammonth, etc..

Thank you.

I was in Snowmass I think it was Feb 2nd this year when I got back from SIA. It had dumped something like 12 inches and was pounding the whole time. The mountain had some super sick free riding, killer trees. When I did go by the park it had a pretty decent set up with a good mix of rails and jumps. The pipe is pretty damn good from what I've been told, but when its dumping pow and flat light you don't go huck your meat so can't tell you from personal experience.

Snowmass is a good mountain. Kind of flat down low, but there is some great terrain in the upper reaches of the mountain. I have heard their park is alright, but if you're looking for park, Buttermilk is just down the road. That is where they hook it up.
You get to ride all the mountains on the same lift ticket. Aspen Highlands is a fantastic freeride mountain. I haven't ridden Aspen mountain proper, but it looks fun enough. With the gondola taking you up right out of downtown, the apres ski scene couldn't be better. Overall the Aspen/Snowmass area is first class, as long as you have the money to afford. it.

BA, Killclimbz,
Thank you on the insights! We will be heading in a few days before the Xgames @Buttermilk as well. Hopefully all the parks are not closed. We have a few noobs coming with us and that's the main reason I picked this spot. You have Snowmass, BM, and the Aspens.. Should be a great experience since I nevered board Colorado or out West..and YES mad LOOT!!
The mountain around my area is what you Westcoast called them "HILLS"..

^ I'm fairly sure we call those Mountains by you parking tiers. JK man I came from 750 feet verticle. I know certain parks are closed for the X games but when my friends were down there doing interviews and stuff they still managed to find a few public parks open to them.
