Lucky you Bro. It will be my first time there and am going with about 10 people.. Half staying at the antler inn and other half at the grand view lodge.
Hopefully you'll be around those days and want to ride.
Awesome. The resort is great when there is fresh powder but if not there is also some excellent backcountry access from the tram. Do some research. Check out the avalanche danger when you get here.
They're good. I took two this season, got one complimentary with my season pass and did another a few weeks later to try some more new stuff. The instructors there all seem extremely professional, I found it worthwhile.
Full day mate. The price difference is minimal really. The first half of the day was more just drills and refining technique and the second half we just rode super hard, putting what we'd learnt into practice.
I'd always had some trouble committing to throwing spins off cat tracks and drops onto hard pack/chundery snow. My instructor pushed me pretty hard and by the end of the day I was happily throwing 1's and 3's off most drops and features while maintaining good technique. It probably helped that I put a lot of effort into riding switch prior to that second lesson. I pretty much rode the second half of every day switch.
I'd watch it at the moose or the bird. Both good pubs but the bird is nowhere near the village, other side of Jackson in fact. The bird makes gargantuan burgers with fresh ground patties. Sen-bloody-sational.
Hey man, I'll be In jackson on Thursday-Sunday. I'll probably watch the game at the moose too. Wanna meet up? I'm staying at "the hitching post" which is hospital housing.
My son has a competition sat/sun. The venue is supposed to be in the toilet bowl area, you know how the coverage/conditions are there? It will be my son, his coach and I. If your into the extreme terrain and wanna make some laps, they are down for it, I'm not into the corbets and cliffs shit, they are. I'll probably go do a Teton pass tour on Thursday or Friday.
The Handlebar which is slopeside at the Four Seasons is a decent spot and has a couple of 40some inch TVs if you want to wander away from the Sh*tshow crowd at the Moose.
they show corbetts pics on instagram all the time.. everything is open when you have 26 feet lol
