What to do at Snowshoe

We are heading to Snowshoe, WV before the end of the season for 3 days. My first time going there. Seems like there are plenty of trails, probably more than we'll be able to cover in those 3 days. What parts would you make sure to do while there? Most advanced we've done is black diamond at Wintergreen. Just starting at the terrain park.

You can cover that whole mountain easy in 3 days, especially if your night skiing, just hit hit up silver creek at night ( terrain parks at night with a slight buzz are always a good time). Glades are nice if they are open but I doubt it is this late into spring. Western territory is where the long, black diamonds are. Stay away from Lower Shay's unless you want a hell of a mogul work out. Terrain parks are sprinkled all over for every size and flavor.

They didn't have the huge moguls there like they used to when I was there a month ago. It was just a steep sheet of ice. Sharpen your edges if you plan to go down that trail.

Also, right before the Lower Shay, the Upper Shay flattens out. So make sure you bomb it right before you hit that flat area or else you are going to work hard to make it to Lower Shay.

Thanks for the advice. Since they just announced that the lighted area is now closed for the season, I guess it will be a bit easier to cover it all. Wish I'd have known before booking. Oh well. Is the Skidder area at the top as tame as it looks? I'm going to teach my wife to board who hasn't ever even skateboarded, and I'd like to do it in a relatively flat area first. Always best to get the whole family involved.

Skidder is very tame, bout the only real wide place on that side of the mountain for a beginner to get a feel for it.
