Default Jay Peak Packages

I was cheeking out Jay Peak web site today and came across the winter package deal that they have going on right now. Basically they offer to book 2 nights stay and they will give lift tickets+water park passes for each day u stay + they will provide lift tickets for the day you arrive. In addition they giving: *Extras include tokens for the Elevation 1851 - Which i have no idea what it is.
*free family Tram ride. and some other shit i don't care about.

They one i'm interested in is Golf & Mountain Cottages. Is about $520 total for 2 nights.

What do you think guys?

I spent three days at Jay earlier this year and the tram is just one of the sheltered lifts they have that goes to the very top (it's part of the lift ticket). It has it's ups and downs when riding it like its jammed pack with people like a subway during rush hour. If its windy or foggy they will shut it down until the weather gets better. The view in it is great and you have to try it at least once. The free family tram ride is for people who don't ski or board to get to the peak to enjoy the view and "enjoy" the restaurant they have up there.

When I was there I didn't bother with the water park, they close at a certain time and honestly by the time I was done riding 8 hours and having to get dinner I was too beat to even go to the water park. Plus I saved money by getting the pass that didn't include it. Also be warned, Jay charges a $20 a day resort fee and make sure you drop off your room key in one of the drop boxes or they'll charge $25 per missing key. The key also works as your lift ticket and you can call a free shuttle to pick you up where your staying and drop you off at what ever lift area you want to start from and back to the place you are staying.

Jay Peak is a lot of fun and don't buy anything at the gift shop, there's a few gas stations/convenience stores that sell the same things for a lot cheaper.

Thanks for your advice. I already booked my trip. Total was $500 with 2 nights stay in cottage. I don't really care about waterpark I'll be there to ride but my GF will be really happy to spend some time there. Also they included resort fees into my reservation. I imagine tram will be jammed on Sunday, but I hope Monday will be better

The tram is the ONLY lift that goes all the way to the top.. with that said its probably only worth going up once our twice. The flyer brings you right below the summit and is a much shorter line and faster ride.

The water park is definitely worth it, especially the slide where the floor drops out beneath you.

You're making me jealous! gonna have to get my school's ski club to book a trip there again this year

Yeah, the tram only if you have time as you have wait on line for that thing and it's slow. I rather ride the chair up as it drops you off just a little lower on the mountain.

I personally like state side at jay peak better but it's all personal preference.

We do a group trip up there the end of February/beginning of March every year. It's around $600. It includes as 6 day lift ticket...slope slide accommodations in the condos right next to the water park and Tram....Beer (Magic Hat sponsor)...water park access. Average has been about 40-45 boarders with a couple skiers here and there over the last several years. The Jay Peak meet thread in the forum has some additional info.
