Default Park City, Utah

Hey fellow boarders.
I live in South Florida and headed to PCMR on March 8th for a week.
Couple of questions;

Has anyone been riding there? Are the lifts the same or did Vail make any changes such as gates etc?

Also does anyone have any suggestions on where possibly to get discounted lift tickets.

Just have enjoyed PCMR before and not sure what changes have been made since the purchase

Staying at a time-share at PCMR so other nearby places aren't really an option.

Thanks for any info etc

There's no snow. It's dirt all over the mountain. Other than that it's the exact same and you won't find discount tickets.

Not really. They got like 6 inches which isn't enough to cover their dirt patches.

Yeah that is true they didn't get much. I think their base is half what it normally is.
But on Open Snow they think a pattern change in weather is in place beginning last week of February into March.
But just in case conditions don't warrant the price they charge for tickets any nearby areas with better conditions? There as a family trip so can't be too far from PCMR.
Thanks again for any info

Don't listen to the guy above that said it is all dirt patches. I have a friend that lives out there and he says that the resorts are fine. You can even check some of the trails by looking at the mountain cams on Park City's website. Utah might be having a slow season, but it is still going to be good conditions to have fun in. You have to remember that locals are spoiled when it comes to all the snow they get, so they see things through a different lens compared to visitors.

Have fun on your trip!

Thanks Blackbeard. Yeah I have looked at the cams and the runs looked good. Although cams can't see all the trails.
You think your friend knows if they changed the lifts at all adding gates or scanners at all the lifts up in Mountain. One thing that was nice about Park City was not having to queue up every time once you were up.
Also does your friend know a great place to get tickets that may be discounted?
Thanks again man

Check out the Sports Den for discounted tickets. However, if you buy directly from Park City for multiple days you will find better deals so I would check there first.

Not sure about if they changed the gates, etc. I guess you will find out when you get there.
