1/16/10 - Gore Mtn, North Creek, NY
All areas and all lifts were open. Luckily, all the warm temp did was soften the snow. We rode all day til it closed. I had a perfect full tune on my Never Summer and i was laying down hardpack carves with confidence. I couldn't resist trying a rocker board though, so after a little wait I was able to snag what I was looking for. I demo'd the Burton Hero in a 58wide with the Malavita bindings. Holy shit that's a fun board! Ride switch and switch back to regular like no other board. Soft flexing, high butter-ability. Hardpack landings were a washout sometimes. It's definitely a board I wouldn't mind adding to my quiver as my play board/soft snow/lil pow board.
Here's some chairlift, top of the run, plain ol video from the day.
