I spent the last weekend at Winterplace in near-perfect conditions and temps ranging from a 29 low to a low 50's high. I loved every run on the mountain, from the greens to the blacks. The lift operators were friendly, energetic, and helpful. I didn't spend much time inside
, so I can't talk for the employees there. My only complaint is that there were no stand-alone kickers anywhere on the mountain. Any ramp led into a rail. I had to depend on steep walls and rider-made kickers to practice my new-found ability: spins! Overall, an awesome resort for a beginning to intermediate rider. |

I took my girlfriend there to teach her to ski. It was a great place for beginners, but there wasn't much that would appeal to an advanced rider. The only reason I went there was the other "southern" (NC) resorts didn't have much snow at the time I went (last year).
