The last several weeks MM has gotten several nice powder producing storms of 15"-30" making for some nice powder and wind buff riding. I've been fortunate to take advantage of it! Here's a couple links to my shots that I've posted on flickr. Nothing hardcore but thought I'd share.

Hey bug! Ya, that storm was fun. spent mon. morning mostly on 25 while it was running. On tues. I went for chair 9 since I hadn't ever been over there before. If I hadn't gone to 9 I would've been on 14 for sure. But I got first tracks off 14 the week before so I figured I'd try 9 before it shut down for the season. Though talking w/ a coworker on wed it sounds like the better snow was at 14. 9 was pretty wind buffed! So it goes eh? Always a gamble with which chair to hit up after a storm and when they will be running.
What were you riding on, you're slr or premier? I got my wife a lotus-r last week and will try it out on sunday, she's goofy so couldn't just hop on it last weekend. She's super stoked on it! |

Nice. We had to launch out of main because we had to drop our daughter off at daycare, so I actually ended up on 2 most of Monday morning. Doesn't sound too inspiring, but I think Mambo/Patrolman's tend to be really nice when it's super windy like that. My first 2 runs there were the best snow I've ever been on. It was a total white-out at the top of the lift though(they apparently recorded 70mph gusts). My wife took a hard fall in the wind up there, so we called it a day fairly early. I went back out in the afternoon from Canyon, and started heading over toward 9, but ended up not making it all the way over. Tuesday was incredible. The snow had predictably settled a bit back there, so it was a little heavy. It got tracked pretty fast too, but there's just so much back there it was easy to fine clean lines until almost 11:00.
I was on the Premier, and gladly so. I'd had it in SoCal's version of powder before (6" here, 10" there), but nothing like what went down on Tuesday. It totally killed, especially when things started to get tracked, and you had to point and shoot from up high to make it over some of the flatter sections. |

I bet the top of broadway was raging on monday! Canyon wasn't any better. I had to work to get out of the way of the chair when off loading
![]() Ya, hard to go wrong w/ the backside and 12. Becoming one of my fav places at MM. Your experience w/ the Premier sounds similar to mine w/ the malolo. It just plows through the stuff without flinching. I'm sure I'd have done a few cartwheels had I been on my old Gnu, haha. I'm starting to trust the malolo more now and just letting it go. heading to MM tomorrow for some spring snowboarding off eagle and canyon. Hopefully won't be tooo crowded. Can't escape to June anymore.

@crsv619: ya, MM open 'til July 4. It's full on spring conditions right now, but it'll be full on winter for a couple days again next week w/ 17-20" of snow again!! I'm ready for the spring boarding now though!
