we'll bring our "gats" just in case, i was reading about some people who drove down around the whole south american coast (or as close as they could with roads permitting) and back to the states and they spent like 4 or 5 thousand on gas, that means a straight shot down and back maybe 3 tops, split between say, 10 people, thats a cheap ass trip to chile. we could even stop and shred some POW in columbia

maybe your right, but a bunch of people driving to chile to snowboard and encountering crazy shit on the way down would make a sweet movie, ill get started on the script, then when they make my movie ill get to go to chile while they film it.

k the plans are cancelled, found inspiration and have new plans

Let's see here......a 6 hour flight on a comfortable airliner drinking beer and checking out cute flight attendants to be at a resort in Chile to shred every day or spending several days with a bunch of guys you barely know who have not showered in days in a car driving shitty roads through fucked up central American countries where Americans are routinely kidnapped by drug lords to maybe snowboard 1 or 2 days of a 2 week vacation.....Um call me crazy, but I would rather spend my time actually snowboarding....

Yea ill be taking that trip with you, who would want to be in an rv driving thru third world countries for 2 weeks.............. when you can just fly ^^^^^^ exactly what he said. whats a plane ticket to chile run anyway, 1000$? Better yet why dont u fly down at the start of the season and stay all summer.....

this idea intrigues me. all the naysayer don't seem to understand the trip is half the fun. what an epic road trip that would be! my uncle drove his RV down to south america. he spent several months on it in mexico and didn't get sick or run into any bandidos or drug wars. It's possible to do you just have to be smart and educated about things. My Uncle drove to Peru on his trip then back up. It is so possible to make this work. It would be so awesome. and to hell with boarding two days when you get there. stay a season maybe. get a job or something. or just stay a week or so before you head back.
