Now that NM seems to finally have some snow, here are a couple videos that I have put together of me and my buds having fun on the hill.

Enjoy!!!

Looks like good times. It's all about the pole mount this season...

Yea, but I do it ghetto style. I lash my GoPro to the end of a ski pole that I found last year.

do you use the handlebar mount or did you tape/glue the mount it comes with to the pole?

Awesome fall and recovery at the end of the first vid. Can't wait to get my leg burn from the first run of the season.

Why didn't you film in hd?

I didn't use any mount. All I did was take some parachute cord and lashed it to the end of the ski pole. Kind of a pain in the ass because if you want to change angles then you have to unlash and relash. Also it sucks carrying around a ski pole all day. I'm getting ready to upgrade to a tellescoping pole, that way I can stuff it in my backpack when I dont want to carry it.

Because I don't have the HD version GoPro. I have the original SD version. I know the video from the HD version is WAY better and trust me, it's on my upgrade list.

Magnum626 12-24-2010 10:52 PM

Ahh I see. I was thinking of getting one buy a buddy of mine already is so I'll wait.

Either HD or SD, the GoPro still takes some sick footage! I cant wait to get the HD version. But my problem is I spend all my $$$ on the hill snowboarding and dont save up for a new camera. Gotta have priorties!! :)

Magnum626 12-25-2010 10:49 AM

Yup, you definitely have the priorities straight. No point in buying the HD if you can get up to the hill.

Snow is coming my way, I'll be riding Monday and Tuesday but no cam to take footage...oh well..
