West Coast CA from Philly

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to plan a trip out west within the next couple of weeks hopefully the second or third week in March. I was thinking of flying into LAX and then taking a seperate plane from there to Mammouth. Is this the cheapest way to get their? Thanks for you help.

Probably,go to Mammoth's website and look at airfare's from LAX[Frontier I think] I seem to remember seeing $59 from LA but don't hold me to that. They got dumped on this past weekend and more is on the way this weekend so it should be great.Don't forget to hit up June Mtn,1/2 the price,1/2 the people and yeah about 1/2 the terrain/mountain but you will get more runs and about 1/2 the wait of lift lines.Have fun.

I priced everything out as far as flights goes. My buddies and I are gonig to fly into Laguna beach which is $270.00 and have my buddy pick me up. Then take a plane from LAX to Mammoth Lakes for $92.00 round trip. Do you have any recomondations as places to stay that aren't rediculous.

Laguna Beach ? You mean John Wayne in Orange county right ? Usually it's at least $100 more than LAX to fly into/out of..... but OK.Cheapest is the Motel 6 in Mammoth .There is a shuttle from Mammoth's airport to the mountain.Free bus rides around town.If you could afford it Mammoth Mountain INN is right by the main lodge and is the closest to the lifts.I believe lodging will run you about $100 and up a night.Try goggling "Mammoth lakes motels/lodging" ...you might find something cheaper.
Man that is 1 good buddy of yours...make sure you tell him THX for the rides.[and buy him some gas too ]
