Sound like you're rolling with people who have mis-appropriated priorities!

Awesome pictures. Nothing beats a great day of snow.
I'm also planning a trip to Killington and wonder if you can shed some tips on the budget range, accommodation and such. I have probably a similar size group as yours around 10 +/- 2.

We stayed in the Woods Resort & Spa community right off the access road because it was the only thing that was available. We got a 3br/3ba condo with a loft and it was actually pretty awesome and I would recommend it to others. Our unit slept 10 but we brought a group of 12 and everyone fit perfectly fine and it was about $180/person for 3 nights. With a group that big that's probably right about the average of what you're going to end up paying for a weekend, but try to book it as far in advance as possible so you don't run into availability issues. Initially I used VRBO is Vacation Rentals By Owner and craigslist to try to find a rental home but eventually gave up and called killington central reservations where you can get a ski & stay package for discounted lodging and lift tickets.

NE can be real hit or Miss in March. You could get a good dump! YOu could get a good rainfall (like the begining of March has showed), or you could get a Kick-ass sunny day. There is def a lesser chance that you'll get a blustery cold day so you should be good in that regard.

check Banchi Outdoor Adventures or College Ski & Snowboard Online Reservations College Ski Trips College Snowboard Trips - Home (These are legit links and not spam) I've used them for some good deals. Esp if you are going late season.

The following Wednesday was a mad powder day with white out conditions and fun as hell.

All in all, this is a great local mountain with so much variety with the crossovers, you could NEVER do the exact same run twice if you chose.

****EDIT****
omg i feel like an idiot. i meant Kirkwood in Tahoe area, not Killington. It's a 40 minute drive or so from South Lake, but totally worth it. it's amazing what painkillers for a bruised rib can do to your mind.

Phew! Thank you for clarifying!!!! Kirkwood is Spctacular, for SURE! I was there the week before you and it was UNREAL! 10 feet of snow in 5 days..seriously? Although, I'm not sure what Sieke is? I assume you don't meant the Cirque (which is closed to regular riding). Either-way kirkwood is the best resort in the 'Hoe!
