Mostly because of the riders in the video

Having only ridden in the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Northern Idaho, Montana, BC) and never been to the East Coast, it sure is interesting to see how different the terrain, foliage etc...is (maybe it's not so differt in other areas?). Cool video, that chick's wipeout is awesome!

Those glades may not be done just yet....

NORTHEAST:
Short-term weather will be a roller coaster, with temperatures spiking every few days, and then settling back to normal for a few days. The cooling will not be dramatic, as southern Canada is not especially cold right now, but it will be enough to promote higher mountain snow showers this weekend. Nighttime lows will be cold enough to sustain base depths. For the foreseeable future, granular surfaces will rule, with a bit of packed powder across the far north this weekend in those areas where snow showers will be more numerous. Resorts in this region that want to remain open into April will get the boost that they need later next week, when the overall pattern changes starts to take shape. Once established, the eastern trough should remain in control for 2-3 weeks. Skiers and riders in this region have not seen their final powder days.
