Lol, yeah, the second I saw 5400 feet I had to try to verify this on interwebs. The funny part is that I actually pondered for a second weather or not it was true. Someone must have accidentally given me decaf this morning.
yea, you didnt know that over here in North freakin Carolina we had one of the biggest snowboard mountains available...CO.. pffff its all about NC baby and 5400' of vert....
never been to app, ive only been to cat and snowshoe. for what it is, cat is a lot of fun. i mean i live in GA so not much close options.. they keep the park up and nice so thats whats led to my mainly freestyle type riding...just treat the mtn like a park and hit up every lil side hit there is, cruise through the park for some kickers and rails and your at the bottom ready to do it again.. 5400ft of vert, i mainly ride on weekdays so no lines and the car is always close enough to bring your own drinks/food to make for a fun day of partying and riding
Okay cool I'll definitely have to check it out. I think App (Appalachian Ski Mountain) might be a little farther for you. They are both fairly equal distances for me I think. Just to let you know, from what I here, App is pretty awesome for park compared to other NC places. They actually have 3 parks. One of which is a Burton Progression park. It's basically a Burton built/sponsored beginner park that's really cool for someone like me just starting out learning freestyle.
Yea 5400ft, I didn't pay attention to the number I just knew NC runs were short hah.
yea, ive looked into app quite a bit, and there parks are def way nicer than cat..its just a lil too far for me to make day trips, and dont have the funds to always be going overnight...it is what it is
