Cant wait for park city for march 13 to 20th.
Last year same dates it basically snowed at least 6 inches almost everyday. This year any advice as it seems like there is no snow in the forecast. Where could i find some not extremely tracked out snow? Any runs at park city or canyons i should hit. Also, Staying in park city but plan to travel to other area for 1 day. Trying to keep the travel time around or under an hour, what resort should i hit. doesnt need to have good park as will do lots of park riding after dinner at park city. Most important is combo of terrain and ability to find nice snow. Any other tips are welcome. Thanks |

I'll actually be in town for a few of those days. 1 hr from PC....? Everyone has their opinions, here, but here are your options:
Brighton-Local Favorite but gets tracked-out pretty easily, "unless you know where to go." If it doesn't snow between now and then, even the locals won't know where to go! Snowbird-International Standard. Big, Gnarly, Busy, and fun! I make it a point to go here every time I visit. If PC gets a dusting, Snowbird got 3 inches, if PC gets 3, Snowbird gets 8. Best bet for snow if a system comes through. Snowbasin- Some don't like it because it is Sun Valley-owned. I don't mind the frills because the mountain is big and crowds don't kill it like Snowbird. Powder Mountain- Salt-of-the-earth ski resort. Decent, but lots of snow to be found and only locals and a few tourists go here. Lifts are slow, and personally, if you're looking to go one day, I wouldn't make this my prime choice.....many would beg to differ. I suggest Snowbird or Snowbasin.....try to time it with the snow.
