I'd love to ride local Wed but I left all my gear up at Mammoth. I am thinking about heading up to get it. I was supposed to fly home on Thursday and work Friday. My flight got cancelled and I lost the gig--6 days of work down the drain for one canceled flight!!! SO PISSED! Now I gotta go back to mammoth to get my gear. I'm thinking of driving up tomorrow to get it and coming home Monday or Tuesday. Roads are clear, no chains needed you game? You can stay at my place if you drive. Or I can drive. Whatevs.... Honestly I would love the company on the drive so let me know i you're game. oh and I didn't drive up, I rode with a friend. She left sunday and I flew home yesterday. and yes. That pic is from riding up chair 9. Things were nice in some spots not in others. Some nice soft powder in the trees but you know that natural half pipe thing at the bottom of Gold Hill? Solid Ice!!! Damn, it sucked bad since I love to fly thru there. And yes again, I had to hike about a half mile and hop a fence alone Chair 15. Got a thumbs up from an instructor who saw me climbing the fence to get back inbounds. Considering there was a solid bootpack I followed right from the road, Im guessing was not the first to do that. oh and I didn't get the name of the dudes at P3 but they all kinda helped me. I went in looking to demo a Lotus and two blonde dudes hooked me up with that.
Then I went in the next day and said I loved the Lotus but wanted something a bit stiffer. There were 2 different dudes in there and they said "our girlfriends all ride this--here!" and handed me the B Pro. I did want to try a Gnu but I wasn't aware they were handing me a True Twin. But hey, now I know I want a directional board right? I asked if I could try some flavor of Bananna but they said I was too small, I need a girls board. Youve seen me, I ain't that small!

Tempting to go up, but I actually have some work scheduled for probably the whole week. Finally!
I want that whole ridge in that pic. More so the left side and then down into those trees. That Gold Hill run ices up quick. I think its a day of snow type of run, I've only been able to hit it once without it being crusty ice |

everything on the Eagle side was hit and miss Ridge looked icy and I did not go up there. Are you working Monday? I have Monday off and I'm a maybe for Tuesday. Im thinking I'll leave LA tomorrow afternoon ad hit up Grumpys late night happy hour. Then ride all day Monday and head home. If don't end up working Tuesday I might stay another day but if you want to come I can leave Monday night regardless. I really don't want to sit in a car for 10 hours over two days but I need my gear so I can ride locally. It's pilot season and work is also picking up for me. If I don't go back now, I don't know when I'll be able to go again. Not only did I leave my boots and board I left a lot of clothing, I didn't want to pay to check a bag on the plane. ![]() I need my gear cos I'm totally picking up a pass to High so I can ride the rest of the year for free

Glad you scored. I was also in Mammoth last Sunday/Monday. It was deep and very fun. One of the guys I went with was skiing. He went yard sale on Monday morning when they opened the top. He lost a ski in the 4 feet of fresh. Three of us dug for an hour to no avail. A full week has gone by and I am still smiling

Hey, were you the one who posted a short review thread? (edit, you weren't! Sorry!) Yeah, this was a fun week for sure. I got home last night. Yesterday was blowing snow all day, patrol bombing and the top closed. Today is the day for sure. Sucks to be working. two words why I snowboard-- Yard. SALE.
