Miss that beauty already. This weekend is the last for the backside...but there's no fresh snow coming and it's getting warmer every day.

I was there on the Sunday slide day and was on my way out back when the slide happened. The Wall just looked nasty, though the chutes were pretty tasty. Watched nail "Once is Enough" like it was his job. Straight nose-down dive! When they announced the initial backside closing, I had to run up on Tuesday afternoon. I actually hiked to the far boundary on Covered Wagon and backed-out. I was not wearing my beacon and there was all sorts of slide evidence. I wasn't feeling it at all. Later that day I pushed a small sluff on Vista, this season.....it is MUCH better to be safe than sorry. That being said, keeping backside open till this past weekend was awesome! Running Vista this weekend was even more AWESOME!
