Drove up to catch the dump last weekend, and pretty much nailed it. It was a wet heavy snow, but Friday was a powder storm day, with virgin powder everywhere. Blows my mind how good this "first day of the season" was for us.
Saturday was windy and less snowy, and powder was starting to turn into the Sierra Cement they are famous for, but also a great day. Anyways, here's my first GoPro video. Not ideal video conditions, but hopefully you can see how good the powder was. Gravy Chute had flawless coverage and snow. https://vimeo.com/55130025 Here's to a great season! |

nice vid. I love Old Spook! It's so rare that it's good enough to ride like that. It's so icy most of the time.
I love/hate lower dry creek. the run out is so flat it's way to easy to get stuck in in powdera t the bottom but there's so much fun shit to hit on the way down.
