Well some of you may have known I was going to a hardboot board meet this weekend at Nakiska. I also spent Sunday at Lake Louise with a buddy from work who's a great boarder, but I'll write about and post the videos from that another time...

It was fun carving with the alpine guys for the day. The grooming was fantastic although the place was rammed, AND the main lower mountain chair broke down. So lift lines were long and the runs did get choppy later in the day.

So after infiltrating the cult, it seems that they are all VERY into their niche of the sport, and will try to convert anyone near them to hardboots! It was like riding with jehovahs witnesses!!! lol Was a fun day and I'll likely go again next year, it was great to work on carving form all day and get some feedback (and pictures).

One thing I notice is that I get all twisted up on my toeside. Even though I'm comfortable on that side I may try a more forward stance just to see how it feels. It's been over 10 years since I rode a forward stance!

I learned to ride with a forward stance, I was dating a loser who taught me to ride on a stiff as fuck camber deck. I dumped him and the camber deck, went duck, now am I like, a MILLION times better at boarding... Not that it has anything to do with the fact Ive logged about 100 days on my board since then lol

Sometimes I go back to forward stance on pow days, I don't notice any difference unless I try to ride switch

Oh man, you guys just wait until my GF comes on here to rave about her new board. I've got her so brainwashed she'll be spewing the camber love, custom made board bullshit for weeks!

Im not really drunk, Im bored at work. Tho we fully encourage drinking here, it's how we keep our clients...
