Default Snowboard shops - Southern Island of NZ?

Hey all,

I am hoping to hear from local from New Zealand.

I am wondering if there is any good snowboard shops around in Southern Island of NZ?
Is any a good shop in Methven or Wanaka or Queenstown?

A bit late, but yes, there are good shops in Wanaka. I bought my entire setup at BaseNZ in Wanaka in 2012. They were very helpful and patient (credit card issues). Here is their website: Buy Snowboard & Ski Gear Online - Free NZ Shipping - BaseNZ Ski & Snowboard Shop.

That's not the only one, either; there are a few other good shops as well.

Queenstown has quite a few good stores, I can remember visiting at least five of them. They carry quite an array of gear, it really depends what your looking for.
Shops normally close around 9 pm in winter. Great night life and bar scene.

Well you obviously don't shop in Australia either welcome to the Southern Hemisphere where you are blinding ripped off, because they can.
