so i'm thinking of buying the rossignol angus, and i was wandering if rossignol boards are good in general. i don't ride in a good mountain so i wanna know if the edge is going to tear out on the first rock i hit.
and if you have any exp. with the angus i would love to hear about it

anyway, new here and pretty new to snowboarding,

I just participated in a clinic with the local Rossi rep and he went into detail about this board. Now I am going to say straight up that I have not gotten to demo this board personally and can only pass on some specs and report that they people in the shop who have demo`d this board report very highly!!

It is designed to be a superior all mountain does everything really well board. Rossi has intended to take the the best traits of a rocker and a traditional cambered board and meld the two. The result is their AmpTek concept where there is a traditional camber between the bindings for good edge hold in turns on hard pack and a rocker like design from the bindings out toward the tip and tail.

It is supposed to be excellent in powder like a rocker, yet behave far better than a rocker on ice. It is said to be very good for all levels of rider.
okei thx for a good answer, i have done a lot of research and haven't found any1 say anything negative about this board, and i like riding all of the mountain

so ill probably get it :)

well i got it and i really like it, don't have much to compare it with but i think it's really solid !
i often find myself thinking "oh crap that 180 was way off, i am really gonna eat it now!" but than the board just glides through it and i come out with all my bones still intact :D. I've only gotten a few days on it and still dialing it in but for a allmounten board its good, good in pow, groomers and everything that i throw at it. and i think its really fast but may be that's just because i had such a rubbish board before !
hope this helps

I bought a Rossi Circuit (2009) and had Rossi Viper bindings. I upgraded the bindings to Union Forces - The Vipers weren't that great. Easy entry, but they just loosened all the time when riding and felt cheap in general.

The Rossi Circuit is a good beginner board. I learned to snowboard this season and have ridden the Circuit about 7 trips (10 days total), but I learned how to carve and go down blues and blacks and even boardslide and butter with it. I learned the basics with this board, but I'm definitely looking to upgrade to a intermediate or a more "advanced" board.

But yeah, there might be better boards out there for you to learn on. Try sierra snowboard - their sierra reverse crew is like $240 and the Sierra Crew is $200. I'm thinking about buying the reverse crew.. which is essentially Burton's V-Rocker, but I just bought the Circuit and I would feel like a dumbass for buying 2 new boards in 1 season lol.

If you can wait for/afford the 2011 Rossi lineup, I suggest you go with the One Magtek. The '11 Angus has sick ass graphics, but it just wasn't nearly as fun as the '11 One Magtek. The biggest downside of the One Magtek is that it is really ugly. Very plain graphics lol.

The Angus was just mediocre in my opinion. It was better than the Taipan though. I could be biased though because I ride on a lot of ice and the One Magtek killed it.

I'm tempted by the sale pricing of the 09/10 One Mag, it's like getting a Mervin MTX board with a great core and base for cheap. But now knowing they're adding a rocker next year kinda kills that idea. ;)

As for Rossi quality, I'm still very happy with my Travis Rice Pro 157mw from a few years ago.
