messed around with it a little more, and clicking the mic button does do play/pause, it's not the most reliable, but it'll do. The sound quality again, is worse than the headphones your ipod comes...

Crowbars are very nice, never tried the smiths, but oakleys are always nice. You can get them pretty cheap too at oakleyvault.com hit it up.
