Rossi XV for the win.

I've ridden mine on everything from hardpack to 18" of fresh and it rocks on all. Super nimble but super stable, plenty of pop when hitting medium-sized jumps. Just sucks...

It doesn't matter.

Get the boots that fit the best and have a suitable flex to match up more or less with the bindings and board.

You probably need smaller boots than you think. I used to think...

For your first time boarding, it doesn't matter where you go provided the hill is:

A.) Not some insanely crowded local hill where you're likely to crash into somebody or get crashed into.

When I was just getting started I had a shop wax my board and they did a terrible job scraping it. I could see that even as a beginner. So I bought the basic Dakine kit and haven't looked back. Still...

Becoming a Snowboard Instructor - How good do you have to be?

There are a lot of posts on here about the process of becoming an instructor, but the simple question I have is this: how good do you have to be to get a lower-level instructor job?

About me: I am...

Any bigger guys ride Slash Brain Storm?

I'm looking for a setback twin do it all board to complement a Rossi XV that will be my bomber. The Brain Storm sounds really cool. One review I saw suggested it was like a slightly mellower and...

Berzerker, or possibly Highlife or Rossignol XV. I am 5'9" and 195-215 depending on how lazy I've been and I rode the first-gen Berzerker as my everyday board from 2012 through last season. This year...

The customer service dude said they would indeed not fit a Talon 9.5. He also told me they wouldn't help me with a longer strap (as they seem to have done with some on the board last year).

2015 Rome Factory Bindings, M/L, NIB

I bought these bindings and ran into the "ankle strap too short" problem because of my bulky boots (size 9.5 Flow Talon). This would make a great deal for somebody with lower-profile boots.

You want the 163. I had the first or second model year in a 162 (163 came later) and it was fine even at 5-10lbs higher weight than you are.

Sounds like this is too late, but I really like my Flow Talon Boas so far. Super stiff and responsive double boas that fit my duck flippers well. Better than the TM-2 I used to have.

Mt. Hood (Timberline), Snowbasin, or Steven's Pass in mid-March?

I think I answered my own question by looking more closely at the specs, honestly. The Alter Ego is going to be too small, since it's a lot less surface area than the Berzerker or anything else I...
