It completely depends on how and where you ride, as well as your skill level. I remember things like skating we're very tiring when I was brand new, where as now it's probably easier than walking....

2 months is plenty of time. I broke mine last year and started riding again three weeks later. Just take it easy and you'll be fine.

+1 for jetboil. Never used mine in high elevation but I have used it in colder weather around 15-20 quite a bit and never had any problems.
