Readjust that buckle position a bit more to the side. If that doesnt work then head to a shop that heat molds liners and can blow it out a bit. Had a similar issue and it helped.

I have had good luck with Krylon Fusion. It'll last a good long while, but will still eventually chip. Its the best option Im aware of. When you paint it make sure you let it cure for a week or so...

I use my park pickle everywhere, but i dont ride the back country. From personal experience I would suggest last years GNU Riders Choice. Ive seen its for less than 400 at times on the net.
