I use Bluebird all temp as well. Works great. And I agree with the soy wax being shit, I got some organic soy wax as a gift last christmas tried it out and it was the slowest wax I've ever used.

Wow those are old. I still run old preston aluminum bases with newer ride hardward/highbacks/straps on them. The preston stuff was built bomb proof. They are a little heavier but super responsive....

Any helmet that fits you well is a good helmet. K2's helmets are fine if they fit you well. And venting is a plus not a minus.
