I detuned my Proto and am very happy with the results. I'm still able to carve good lines and it's not as catchy. For jibbing or buttering, even with a detune, this is not the board for you. hehe

For ThirtyTwo boots, I tried to find the lightest and smallest footprint boot I could find, for me it was the JP Walker series, hands down my most favorite boot from the 32 Lineup.

Medium-Stiff Highback, Canted footbeds, strong heelcup, best in class toe cap (imo), appears to have more cushioning this year on the heel strap.
