Hot springs were a great call. We went late in the week right before we left. Only about 10-15 people there, clear skies, easy shuttle ride. Awesome, awesome experience!

just picked up a 157 Swift and I'm about your size. It's got the biggest spoon nose of any board ive owned and the swallow tail should help it stay afloat pretty dern well.

Potentially. Price? This thing looks like my dream board. Just not sure if my 12.5 boot would fit on the 157 or if I should hold out for the 162. Want it to still be surfy and snappy for tight trees.

Went to Stowe today for a quickie. There's not a single flake of snow anywhere they haven't run snow guns. Even in town there's still green grass around.

As for conditions, snow was rotting away...

It will always be crowded at Stowe on opening day. It's a rule. At least for the first 2 hours before the trails turn to shit and everyone goes to work.

Regardless it looks like it's gonna be man made crap for a while. Nice snowmaking temps at night for the next week, but then comes the 50 degree temps to wash it all away again.

OP, if you're beginner or even beginner-intermediate, I'd honestly steer more toward Bolton and Stowe. They're on different planets as far as the finances go, but both are pretty forgiving mountains...

Yeah, I'm on a 162 BSOD now that has a 159 ww. That's the narrowest board I ride and I'm close to getting some toe drag. 157 Swift is also 159ww so I guess that could work. Just seems a little...
